Mary has been in nursing since 1974 and is a certified pediatric nurse. She has worked in various areas starting as a hospital nurse, working as a nurse in a children’s center, school- based nurse that included a pre-school, service day care as well as a pregnant and parenting teen program. Her current position is a nurse manager for a mental and behavioral agency. Her experience ranges from the newly born to adolescents.

 Mary became a certified infant massage instructor in 2003 while working with pregnant and parenting teens in a school based program. It was during that time that she realized there was something missing between some of the babies and their mothers. She saw that “bonding and attachment” was lacking in some of her teen moms. Mary’s holistic approach to life guided her to search a program that would incorporate “Mother Nature’s” gifts. It was then that she became a certified infant massage instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage. The infant massage program became part of the teen’s curriculum.

In Mary’s current position, working with mental illness and behavioral issues within the adolescents population, the disorders range from developmental, PTSD, abuse, schizophrenia, depression…just to name a few.  Working with this population has brought Mary to want to reach out and become a Certified International Instructor Trainer to teach others the importance of conscious parenting and to learn that Nurturing Touch, Compassionate Communication, and Creating a Positive Environment so a child may thrive, not just survive.

Mary Lorito’s mission is to teach the Triad Model for Infant and Child development within all cultures, including the growing child, in a positive, thriving, healthy and loving environment.

Mary is highly empathetic and fully commits herself to make a difference in the lives of others.
